About the role
Join MNP’s Assurance & Accounting team as a Manager and lead a diverse group of professionals dedicated to delivering high‑quality financial information. You will act as a trusted advisor, helping clients navigate a rapidly changing reporting environment with confidence.
Key responsibilities
- Lead client‑facing engagement teams to complete compliance tax engagements, budgeting, internal controls and accounting transactions.
- Provide industry and technical assurance expertise through client interactions, reports, technical work and management presentations.
- Manage a portfolio of clients, understand their business risks and deliver added value to grow relationships.
- Review financial files for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee engagement planning, scheduling, budgets, work‑in‑progress, billing, collection and variance recognition.
- Maintain quality control, anticipate issues and apply specialized knowledge to client financial entries and reports.
- Network within the local business community, identify business‑development opportunities and contribute to competitive proposals.
- Mentor, motivate and coach team members, set clear expectations and conduct performance reviews.
Required profile
- Minimum six years of relevant accounting experience.
- Working towards a CPA designation is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of business, accounting, management and practice‑development principles.
- Proven people‑management, relationship‑building and leadership abilities.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
Required skills
- Deep knowledge of accounting and tax principles.
- Experience with accounting and tax software.
- Ability to apply technical accounting standards to client engagements.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
