Long Haul Truck Driver

About the role

Join S.A.T Freight Systems as a Long Haul Truck Driver based in Winnipeg. You will be responsible for safely transporting cargo across various locations while ensuring the vehicle and load meet all safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload goods, tarp cargo and secure it for transport.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle components such as tires, lights, brakes, cold‑storage units and other equipment.
• Perform brake adjustments, emergency roadside repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Conduct pre‑trip, en‑route and post‑trip inspections and record hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Communicate cargo information and updates to central dispatch.
• Handle and transport dangerous goods in compliance with regulations.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• Valid Class 1/1F/A licence for semi‑trailer trucks.
• Air Brake (Z) endorsement.
• Knowledge of driver logbook documentation.
• Physically demanding work with attention to detail and ability to sit for long periods.
• No prior experience required; training will be provided.
