Litigation & Family Lawyer – Full‑Time in Sherwood Park

About the role

We are looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented lawyer to join our litigation and family law team in Sherwood Park. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload, represent clients in court, and provide strategic advice across a range of dispute matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all stages of litigation in the Alberta Court of Justice and the Court of King’s Bench, including drafting pleadings, conducting examinations, filing applications and trial preparation.
• Handle a broad spectrum of family law matters such as divorce, spousal and child support, and property division.
• Represent clients at hearings, mediations, pre‑trial conferences and trials.
• Conduct legal research and draft civil claims, affidavits, briefs, opinions, separation agreements and other settlement documents.
• Provide strategic advice on dispute resolution and risk management, negotiate settlements and advocate on behalf of clients.
• Collaborate with partners, associates and support staff on all matters while maintaining up‑to‑date knowledge of legislation and case law.

Required profile

• Member in good standing with the Alberta Law Society.
• 7‑10 years of litigation experience with strong advocacy, negotiation and analytical abilities.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and client‑relationship skills.
