Litigation Associate (Commercial, Civil & Estate)

About the role

Our client, a dynamic full‑service law firm in Brampton, is looking for a Litigation Associate to work closely with a high‑performing partner. The role offers the chance to handle commercial, civil and estate matters, providing direct client interaction and mentorship in a fast‑growing practice.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of commercial, civil and estate litigation matters from inception through trial.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Represent clients in court appearances, mediations and arbitration sessions.
• Collaborate with senior lawyers to develop case strategies and provide updates to clients.
• Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines.

Required profile

• Bar admission in Ontario and a minimum of three years of post‑qualification experience.
• Demonstrated experience in commercial, civil or estate litigation.
• Strong analytical and written communication abilities.
• Proactive attitude with a desire for professional growth and mentorship.

Required skills

• Legal research and drafting.
• Case management and courtroom advocacy.
• Understanding of Ontario civil procedure rules.
