Legal Executive – 1 Position

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Legal Executive to join our Legal & Compliance team in Yangon. The role will serve as the operational backbone, handling contract management, compliance monitoring and litigation support to protect the organisation’s interests.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and maintain standard contracts, NDAs and service agreements, and manage a central repository with renewal and termination timelines.
• Track statutory filings and monitor daily operations to ensure compliance with corporate, business and labour laws.
• Provide initial legal reviews and day‑to‑day support for internal compliance queries from other departments.
• Conduct legal research on existing and proposed regulations, analysing documents to identify operational risks.
• Maintain an internal litigation tracker and coordinate with external law firms and state law offices to ensure timely delivery of case instructions, evidence and witness statements.
• Support board secretarial functions by organising meeting documentation, drafting minutes and managing the internal complaint system.
• Prepare weekly and monthly operational, compliance and legal reports for the Head of Department.

Required profile

• University graduate with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent legal degree.
• Valid Higher Grade Pleader / Advocate licence.
• Minimum three years of experience in litigation and court case handling.
• Strong legal drafting abilities and proficiency in digital legal research methods.
• Excellent time‑management and organisational skills to meet statutory deadlines.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Intermediate computer skills, including Excel, and willingness to travel.
