Legal Counsel – Brand Protection & Litigation

About the role

As a Legal Counsel focused on Brand Protection & Litigation, you will safeguard lululemon’s brand across Canada, the United States, and Mexico. Based in Vancouver, you will lead proactive IP enforcement, anti‑counterfeiting initiatives, and marketplace policing to protect trademarks, designs, and innovations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute anti‑counterfeiting strategies for both online and offline channels.
• Manage gray‑market and parallel‑import mitigation across North America.
• Conduct marketplace policing and social‑media IP enforcement.
• Collaborate with customs and border authorities (CBSA, CBP) and global enforcement agencies.
• Lead IP litigation involving patents, trademarks, trade‑dress, designs, and copyrights.
• Partner with Legal, Brand, Digital, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to align brand‑defense strategies with business goals.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in brand protection, IP enforcement, commercial law, or related legal practice.
• Experience supporting North American (Canada, US, Mexico) enforcement initiatives.
• Admission to practice law in Canada and/or the United States.

Required skills

• Anti‑counterfeiting enforcement (online and offline).
• Gray‑market and parallel‑import mitigation.
• Marketplace policing and social‑media IP enforcement.
• Working knowledge of customs and border enforcement agencies.
• Familiarity with AI‑driven brand monitoring tools.
