About the role
We are seeking a qualified Legal Advisor to join a consumer finance firm. The role focuses on providing legal guidance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting company secretarial functions within the South African market.
Key responsibilities
- Advise senior management on South African laws and regulatory requirements affecting the finance sector.
- Draft, review, and maintain legal documents, contracts, and compliance policies.
- Perform company secretarial duties, including board meeting preparation and statutory filings.
- Support the finance team with legal aspects of product development and service delivery.
Required profile
- Admitted attorney with a good understanding of South African laws.
- Minimum of 2 years post‑qualification experience.
- Experience in company secretarial work.
- Legal drafting experience.
- Previous exposure to the financial services industry is advantageous.
- Willingness to work in Cape Town or relocate.
