Learning & Development Specialist

About the role

Our client is looking for a Learning & Development Specialist to support a mature learning function during an organizational transition. The role is hands‑on, combining program management, instructional design, stakeholder engagement, vendor coordination, and project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, development, delivery, and continuous improvement of internal L&D programs.
• Partner with business stakeholders to assess learning needs, define objectives, and recommend solutions.
• Design and update learning materials such as presentations, facilitator guides, workshops, webinars, e‑learning modules, videos, and supporting resources.
• Manage learning projects from intake through implementation, including schedules, milestones, communications, and stakeholder alignment.
• Coordinate with external vendors and training providers for content development.
• Collaborate with internal teams on onboarding, compliance, leadership, employee development, and strategic learning projects.
• Work closely with LMS and learning technology platforms to support delivery, engagement, reporting, and administration.
• Monitor program effectiveness through feedback, participation data, and business outcomes, providing recommendations for improvement.
• Support change‑management and adoption activities linked to learning initiatives.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Adult Education, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, or Talent Development.
• Proven ability to design and deliver learning programs for internal employee audiences.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to work with leaders and subject‑matter experts.
• Comfortable working independently, navigating ambiguity, and managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
