Director, People & Culture

About the role

The Director, People & Culture will join StickerYou’s executive team in Toronto, reporting directly to the CEO. You will shape and execute the people strategy, drive cultural initiatives, and ensure the organization has the talent and leadership needed to scale globally.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO and leadership team to design and implement a people strategy aligned with business goals.
• Lead a small HR team and advise on organizational design, workforce planning, succession, employee relations, performance management, and change management.
• Strengthen company culture across Canadian and international teams through events, celebrations, and recognition programs.
• Own recruitment strategy, manage external search partners, and support hiring managers to maintain hiring quality and employer branding.
• Coach managers on performance improvement, oversee semi‑annual reviews, talent calibration, and goal‑setting processes.
• Collaborate with the CFO on salary reviews, compensation planning, payroll, benefits, and HR compliance using Rippling.
• Develop talent development and succession initiatives to build long‑term capability.
• Evaluate AI, automation, and technology solutions to improve recruiting, HR operations, analytics, and employee experience.
• Support international workforce growth and potential expansion into the UK/Europe.

Required profile

• 8+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably in entrepreneurial or high‑growth environments.
• Proven ability to partner with senior executives and influence organization‑wide initiatives.
• Strong track record in talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, and culture building.
• Experience managing HR compliance and payroll for multi‑regional teams.
