Laboratory Technician (Contract) – Ste-Foy

About the role

Bureau Veritas is seeking a Laboratory Technician for its environmental laboratory in Ste‑Foy. This is a contract position until mid‑December with the possibility of extension, offering the chance to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide general laboratory support such as washing glassware, archiving samples, weighing and homogenising.
• Perform simple sample preparation and manipulation procedures prior to analysis.
• Prevent cross‑contamination between samples and materials.
• Use summary reports to plan and organise work and ensure deadlines are met.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain accuracy and quality.
• Carry out other related laboratory tasks as required.

Required profile

• Diploma in a scientific discipline.
• Academic experience working in a laboratory setting.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong time‑management, communication, multitasking and priority‑setting skills.
• Dynamic, energetic, motivated with a positive outlook.
