Junior Project Manager – Residential Construction

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Project Manager to support the delivery of 4–6 storey wood‑frame residential projects, including apartments and townhouses. You will work closely with senior project managers, consultants, trades, and site teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all phases of residential construction from pre‑construction through occupancy.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting and cost tracking.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, shop drawings and maintain project documentation.
• Support procurement activities such as tendering, bid evaluation and subcontract administration.
• Monitor progress, update schedules, identify risks and liaise with consultants, municipal authorities and internal stakeholders.
• Track project costs, review invoices and contribute to monthly budget reporting.
• Coordinate site activities with superintendents and participate in site, safety and progress meetings.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, quality standards and health‑safety requirements.
• Assist with project close‑out, deficiency tracking, turnover documentation and warranty management.

Required profile

• Experience coordinating multi‑family residential construction, especially 4–6 storey wood‑frame projects.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, contracts and project controls.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication, organization and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with scheduling software.
• Experience using project management systems.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
