Junior Developer I – Full Stack .NET/React

About the role
Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia is seeking a Junior Developer I to join its Application Development team in Burnaby. You will work under the guidance of senior developers to design, code, test, and deploy full‑stack solutions using .NET Core and React.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and code user interfaces, reports, and web services under supervision.
- Perform unit, system, and integration testing; assist with end‑user testing.
- Create and update work package plans, providing effort estimates and weekly progress updates.
- Collaborate on data‑modeling discussions, technical designs, and code reviews.
- Support existing applications, troubleshoot issues, and help deploy updates to users.
Required profile
- 2+ years of technical diploma in Computer Programming or equivalent; Bachelor’s in Computer Science preferred.
- 0‑1 years of hands‑on development experience.
- Strong teamwork attitude, willingness to learn, ask questions, and listen.
Required skills
- C# and .NET Core
- React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- SQL/RDBMS and data modeling
- Reporting tools and web services/APIs
