Junior Designer – Paper & Packaging (6‑month contract)

About the role

The Junior Designer will support Indigo’s Paper and Packaging design team in creating original graphics and artwork for private‑label paper products and packaging. This 6‑month contract role offers the chance to work on seasonal collections from concept through production, collaborating with designers, merchandisers and vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with the Paper Designer, design manager and cross‑functional teams to develop production‑ready artwork.
• Support multiple seasonal collections, creating technical specifications and comprehensive tech‑packs for vendors.
• Resize, reformat and adapt graphics and typography for various product and packaging formats.
• Manage sample development, ensure quality and design standards, and present samples to stakeholders.
• Track development timelines and maintain status updates throughout the sample process.

Required profile

• Portfolio of relevant design work (link or attachment required).
• Strong eye for detail and ability to deliver high‑quality design within budget and schedule.
• Excellent collaboration skills with designers, merchandisers, sourcing and production teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software for creating technical specifications.
