Junior Accountant

About the role

Valnet Inc. is seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join its finance team. You will support the preparation of financial reports, assist with consolidations, and help improve reporting processes across a portfolio of digital media brands.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and variance analyses.
• Support the monthly consolidation process and perform intercompany reconciliations.
• Analyze financial performance, trends, and key business drivers.
• Help with budgeting, forecasting, and the development of dashboards and KPIs.
• Prepare journal entries and reconcile major balance‑sheet items.
• Support audit requests and documentation preparation.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and accuracy.
• Assist in ERP or reporting tool implementations or upgrades.
• Investigate and resolve A/R and A/P discrepancies in collaboration with sales and operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• CPA designation preferred (completed or in progress).
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in accounting, financial analysis, or FP&A.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, US GAAP and accounting principles.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems, specifically Oracle NetSuite.
• Familiarity with financial reporting tools such as Power BI.
