Journeyperson Mechanic – Highway Maintenance Fleet

About the role

Emil Anderson Maintenance is seeking a Trade Journeyperson Mechanic to keep its winter and summer fleets mission‑ready in the Fraser Valley. Based out of the Rosedale yard, you will diagnose, repair and maintain trucks and heavy equipment that support highway and bridge maintenance across British Columbia.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and perform preventative maintenance on trucks and heavy equipment used for highway maintenance.
• Complete service records, work orders and equipment inspections accurately and on time.
• Identify required parts and coordinate with the team to minimise equipment downtime.
• Support and mentor apprentices in developing trade skills.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area and collaborate with supervisors and operators.

Required profile

• Valid BC Class 3 driver’s licence with air‑brake endorsement.
• Secondary school graduation or equivalent education.
• Completion of a registered apprenticeship or equivalent experience; Red Seal certification is an asset.
• Physically fit and able to perform labour‑intensive tasks.
• Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices.
