Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter – Growth & Leadership Opportunity

About the role

We are expanding our Fire Services division and are looking for a certified Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter to work on a variety of commercial and industrial fire protection systems in Red Deer, Alberta. This position offers a clear path toward leadership within the Sprinkler Division.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, service, and troubleshoot fire sprinkler systems.
• Install, modify, and repair sprinkler piping and components.
• Perform system upgrades, retrofits, and additions.
• Inspect and service fire pumps and hydrant systems.
• Respond to scheduled and emergency service calls, including after‑hours work.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Prepare detailed inspection, testing, and deficiency reports.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles in compliance with safety standards.

Required profile

• Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter certification.
• Minimum 1 + year of relevant experience.
• Authorized to work in Canada with a valid SIN.
• Valid driver’s licence, at least 3 years driving experience, and a satisfactory driver’s abstract.
• Willingness to travel, work weekends, and participate in a rotating on‑call schedule.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required safety certifications.

Required skills

• Sprinkler system installation and maintenance.
• Fire pump and hydrant system service.
• Knowledge of NFPA codes and fire‑code compliance.
• Blueprint and technical drawing interpretation.
• Trailer towing and safe vehicle operation.
