Janitor

About the role

Bureau Veritas Laboratories is seeking a dedicated Janitor to maintain a clean and safe environment in its Montreal laboratory. You will support both indoor and outdoor facilities, ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety for all staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory maintenance such as cleaning bathrooms, kitchen, and floor care (mopping, sweeping).
• Address safety‑related maintenance items promptly.
• Carry out outside building and grounds tasks including snow removal, spring clean‑up, and window cleaning.
• Assist the Facilities Supervisor and act as a backup contact for landlords and contractors handling HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other equipment.
• Undertake any other related tasks as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma (required).
• At least 1 year of general maintenance or equivalent experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Positive attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
