Janitor – Building Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Janitor to keep our facilities clean, safe and welcoming. You will work primarily in our Vancouver office, handling daily cleaning tasks and occasional outdoor maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs.
• Empty trash cans and dispose of waste responsibly.
• Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
• Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies as needed.
• Remove snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
• Coordinate with contractors for repairs and maintenance.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of professional cleaning experience.
• Ability to work under pressure and perform repetitive, physically demanding tasks.
• Capacity to lift up to 23 kg and work in bending, crouching or kneeling positions.
• Availability for early‑morning, day and weekend shifts, with overtime as required.

Required skills

• Operation of carpet cleaning machines.
• Use of polishing machines and steam cleaners.
• Handling of power tools, power lawn mowers and snowblowers.
• Window cleaning and general facility maintenance.
