IT Assistant – Web & Software Support (Part‑time)

About the role

The Department of Psychology seeks a motivated IT Assistant to maintain and expand the Lydon Lab public website, troubleshoot technical issues, and support software development for ongoing research projects. This is a part‑time, work‑study position for students interested in technology and psychology.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the Lydon Lab public website.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues for lab users.
• Assist in developing and testing software components for research projects.
• Support server administration on both Linux and Windows platforms.

Required profile

• High School Diploma with at least one year of relevant experience.
• Work‑study student status.
• Strong problem‑solving and resourcefulness.
• Interest in psychology or social psychology is a plus.

What we offer

• Hourly wage of $16.85 (CAD).
• 10 hours per week, onsite at McGill College.
