Immunization Nurse – Occupational Health (Casual)

About the role

The Immunization Nurse joins the Occupational Health team at St. Boniface Hospital to support employee health through immunization and TB surveillance programs. Working under the Manager of Human Resources and Occupational Health & Safety, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a safe workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in biological hazard surveillance, including assessing and providing immunizations.
• Administer and interpret tuberculin skin tests.
• Conduct annual TB program surveillance and manage the flu vaccine program (target 70% coverage).
• Support the Employee Documentation program (approximately 20% of duties).
• Deliver information sessions on influenza vaccines as needed (about 5% of duties).

Required profile

• Minimum of one year of nursing experience.
• Graduate of an approved School of Nursing.
• Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
• Occupational Health Nursing certificate preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead group information sessions.
