HVAC R Service Technician Journeyperson

About the role

Black & McDonald Limited is seeking an HVAC/R Service Technician at our location in Dieppe, NB. The successful candidate will maintain, upgrade, troubleshoot, and repair various HVAC/R and gas equipment and systems within a portfolio of buildings to achieve optimum life span of the equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC/R and gas equipment in accordance with manufacturer and company specifications.
• Complete digital work orders, detailed reports and daily digital time summaries.
• Ensure safe working conditions are enforced and strictly adhered to in accordance to company policy.

• 4+ years experience in an HVAC/R service and maintenance position.

Required skills

• Red Seal Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Certification
• G1/G2/G3 License or Gas Fitter Class A/B (asset)
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license
• Reliability Security Clearance (or ability to obtain and maintain)
• Experience using mobile technologies
• Ability to read HVAC, mechanical, electrical schematics and line drawings
• Knowledge of electronic, pneumatic, and DDC control systems (asset)
