Human Resources Generalist

About the role

We are seeking a proactive, business‑focused HR Generalist to partner with managers and employees across the full employee lifecycle. The role blends strategic HR partnership with hands‑on operations, ensuring alignment with business goals while maintaining compliance with Canadian employment legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide HR guidance on employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, and workplace matters.
• Drive the employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding to off‑boarding, creating a positive employee experience.
• Process and coordinate payroll functions, including time reporting, compensation updates, benefits, RRSPs, and documentation.
• Maintain confidential employee records, HRIS data, contracts, and documentation.
• Support full‑cycle recruitment, job postings, interviews, offers, and onboarding across all departments.
• Assist with employee engagement, recognition programs, training coordination, and workplace investigations.
• Administer benefits programs and act as a point of contact for employee inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with Canadian employment legislation, company policies, and HR best practices.
• Support OH&S initiatives, WSIB/WCB claims, incident reporting, accommodations, and return‑to‑work programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–6 years of experience as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian employment standards and HR compliance.
• Experience with payroll administration, recruitment, and employee relations.
