Human Resources Coordinator

About the role

Stella-Jones, a leading North‑American manufacturer of infrastructure products, is looking for a Human Resources Coordinator to join its head‑office team in St‑Laurent, Montreal. The role supports recruitment, onboarding, HR administration and employee inquiries while working on a hybrid schedule (three days on‑site).

Key responsibilities

• Post job openings, screen resumes and schedule interviews.
• Conduct pre‑screen interviews and prepare hiring documentation.
• Coordinate onboarding activities and deliver new‑hire orientations.
• Maintain employee records in the HRIS and generate required reports (EEO, surveys, exit data).
• Process employment verifications, separation paperwork and conduct exit interviews.
• Track leaves, short‑term disability and related follow‑ups.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for head‑office employees on benefits, RRSP, ESPP, EAP and HR systems.
• Support HR projects, process‑improvement initiatives and general administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of HR or related administrative experience.
• Bilingual in English and French (spoken and written).
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to work independently.
• Proven ability to manage shifting priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Experience with HRIS systems (asset).
