HR Data Management Advisor

About the role

Scotiabank is looking for a bilingual HR Data Management Advisor to join its HR Services Operations team in Canada. The role supports the execution of the team's goals, plans and initiatives in line with business strategy, while keeping all activities compliant with regulations, internal policies and procedures. It is presented as an opportunity for someone seeking their first professional experience in an international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process position, job and employee data changes in HR systems across the employee lifecycle.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of employee records and position management changes through internal controls.
• Answer inquiries on position management and employee lifecycle events, and handle escalated issues from stakeholders.
• Take into account the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture in daily decisions.
• Manage support of HR systems such as case management systems and payroll, working independently with a significant volume of transactions and serving a global community within SLAs.
• Pursue effective operations in line with the Bank's values, code of conduct and global sales principles, and contribute to operational improvements and an inclusive workplace.

Required profile

• Post-secondary degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field, or currently pursuing such education.
• Relevant experience resolving customer service requests.
• Knowledge of employee data administration and end-to-end processes.
• Experience with transaction processing and data management, and in conflict or issue resolution.
• Strong teamwork, relationship management and interpersonal skills, with attention to detail and deadlines.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of Bank policies and procedures.
• Understanding of organizational structure and complexity.
• Strong computer skills; Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat are considered an asset.

The work is office-based, with non-standard hours common.
