Housekeeping Aide – Full‑Time at Lions Gate Hospital

About the role

Join Vancouver Coastal Health as a Housekeeping Aide at Lions Gate Hospital in North Vancouver. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, families, visitors, and staff, supporting the organization’s values of care, learning, and results.

Key responsibilities

• Perform damp dusting, dry and wet mopping, and floor maintenance using appropriate equipment.
• Clean and disinfect ceilings, walls, vents, washrooms, beds, furniture, and medical equipment.
• Collect and remove regular and biomedical waste, handle spill clean‑up, and manage linen and recycling.
• Make beds and ensure overall facility cleanliness in accordance with VCH policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with infection‑control and patient‑care teams to uphold clinical hygiene standards.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 10 education or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Physical ability to perform cleaning duties and operate related equipment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others and organize tasks efficiently.

Required skills

• Operation of standard housekeeping and floor‑care equipment.
