Housekeeping Aide – Environmental Services at Squamish Hospital

About the role

Join Vancouver Coastal Health as a Housekeeping Aide on the Environmental Services team at Squamish Hospital. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for patients, families, visitors, and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Dusting, dry and wet mopping of floors, and floor maintenance using appropriate equipment.
• Cleaning and disinfecting ceilings, walls, vents, washrooms, beds, furniture, and medical equipment.
• Collecting and removing regular and biomedical waste, handling spill clean‑up, and making beds.
• Ensuring overall facility cleanliness in line with organizational policies and routines.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 10 education or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Physical ability to perform cleaning duties safely.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well with others, organize tasks, and operate cleaning equipment.
