House Manager & Family Assistant with Childcare Support

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time House Manager & Family Assistant to support a busy downtown Toronto family with childcare, meal preparation, household organization and administrative tasks. The role works 4 flexible days per week, roughly 12 pm–6 pm, with 20 guaranteed hours and a rate of $34‑$38 CAD per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Pick up children from school and activities, prepare snacks, supervise homework and downtime.
• Prepare three dinners per week and grab‑and‑go snacks, process groceries and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Daily household tidying: dishes, surfaces, vacuuming, trash, recycling and seasonal organization.
• Laundry care for children’s clothing, stain treatment and linen rotation.
• Manage household inventory, shop for non‑perishables and run errands such as dry cleaning and gift purchases.
• Assist with calendar tracking, camp registrations and act as on‑site contact for cleaners and tradespeople.

Required profile

• Self‑starter who anticipates needs and works quietly in a high‑pressure environment.
• Warm, engaging with children, able to guide them with kindness and appropriate firmness.
• Flexible, able to adapt to unpredictable schedules and travel needs.
• Trustworthy, with strong integrity and a collaborative mindset.

Required skills

• Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Early childhood education background or equivalent experience.
• Bilingual in French or Spanish (preferred).

What we offer

• Hourly wage of $34–$38 CAD.
• Flexible 4‑day work week, 20–25 hours per week.
