Home Child Care Provider – Full‑time

About the role

The Krane Family is seeking a dedicated Home Child Care Provider to look after their children in a safe, nurturing environment. This permanent, full‑time position is based in the family’s home in Toronto and includes light household responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for the household when parents are away, including light housekeeping and cleaning.
• Bathe, dress, feed, and supervise infants and children, ensuring their personal hygiene and social development.
• Maintain a safe and healthy home environment, adhering to non‑smoking and scent‑free policies.
• Organise age‑appropriate activities, games, and outings for multi‑aged children.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks, and manage rest periods.
• Support children’s emotional well‑being and respond to their needs promptly.
• Handle up to 9 kg (20 lb) of weight safely when required.
• Comply with a criminal record check and use public transportation as needed.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
• Client‑focused, flexible, and initiative‑driven.
• Organised, reliable, and able to manage time effectively.
• Patience, honesty, and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Experience in childcare is an asset but not mandatory.
• Ability to work in a non‑smoking, scent‑free home setting.
• Willingness to undergo a criminal record check.
• Comfort with public transportation for commuting.
