Home Support Worker – Personal Care & Housekeeping

About the role

The Home Support Worker provides essential personal care and household assistance to clients in their own homes in Montréal. This full‑time, fixed‑term position includes room and board and offers a supportive, non‑smoking environment for individuals who enjoy helping others maintain independence and comfort.

Key responsibilities

• Administer bedside and personal care, including assistance with bathing and hygiene.
• Assist with medication reminders and support clients with mobility and transfers.
• Launder clothing and household linens and perform light housekeeping duties.
• Prepare, cook, and serve nutritious meals tailored to client preferences.
• Provide companionship and emotional support throughout the shift.
• Handle heavy loads up to 23 kg and perform physically demanding tasks as required.
• Work flexible morning and evening shifts based on client needs.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation (high school diploma) and a valid First Aid Certificate.
• 1–2 years of experience in personal care or home support roles.
• Ability to pass criminal record, basic security, and confidential security clearances.
• References required.
• Physical capability to sit, stand, walk and lift up to 23 kg for extended periods.
• Willingness to work both morning and evening shifts.
