Home Support Worker – Personal Care & Household Assistance

About the role
The Home Support Worker provides compassionate personal care and household assistance to elderly clients in their homes. You will help maintain a safe, comfortable, and healthy living environment while fostering companionship.
Key responsibilities
- Assist clients with bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Administer medications and monitor health status.
- Prepare, serve, and plan nutritious meals and therapeutic diets.
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and clothing repairs.
- Provide companionship and support for regular exercise such as walks.
- Shop for food and household supplies.
- Care for pets and ensure a clean living space.
- Handle items up to 23 kg (50 lb) and perform physically demanding tasks.
Required profile
- Dependable, punctual, and patient.
- Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible, initiative‑driven, and well‑organized.
- Honest, trustworthy, and client‑focused.
- Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
Required skills
- Current CPR certification.
- Current First Aid certification.
