Home Support Worker – Personal Care & Household Assistance

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Home Support Worker to provide personal care and household assistance in a private residence in Thornhill. The role involves supporting the client with daily living activities while maintaining a safe, comfortable environment.

Key responsibilities

• Administer bedside and personal care, including medication management.
• Assist with bathing, hygiene, dressing, and feeding.
• Support regular exercise such as walking.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and shop for food supplies.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, ironing, and mend clothing or linens.
• Shop for household supplies and maintain inventory.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to the client.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy home environment.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
• 1 to less than 7 months of relevant experience.
• Flexible availability for morning, evening, night, day, and weekend shifts.
• Non‑smoking work environment; optional live‑in accommodation (not a condition).
• Ability to follow a care plan and maintain basic documentation.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
