Private Home Child Caregiver

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated child caregiver to provide comprehensive care for infants and children in a private home setting. The role involves supporting the family’s daily routine, ensuring safety, and fostering the children’s development.

Key responsibilities

• Follow parents’ guidance on toilet training and personal hygiene.
• Sterilize bottles, prepare formulas, and serve nutritious meals.
• Bath, dress, feed, and supervise infants and children throughout the day.
• Organize games, outings, and educational activities.
• Assist with homework and support emotional well‑being.
• Transport children to school, appointments, and extracurricular activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy home environment.
• Perform light housekeeping duties related to child care.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 1‑6 months of child‑care experience.
• Criminal record check clearance.
• Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Flexibility, initiative, good judgement, and organization.
• Reliability, patience, honesty, and a caring attitude.

What we offer

• Optional live‑in accommodation at no charge (not a condition of employment).

• Hourly wage of $20.85 CAD.
