Private Home Child Caregiver

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated child caregiver to join the Klasner Family in their private home in Thornhill. The role involves providing comprehensive care for infants and children while supporting household operations, both on‑site and during family travel.

Key responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for the household in the parents’ absence, including light housekeeping and cleaning.
• Travel with the family, assisting with child supervision and housekeeping duties on trips.
• Wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens.
• Bathe, dress, feed, and prepare infants and children for rest periods.
• Instruct children in personal hygiene, social development, and organize games and outings.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
• Transport children to and from school, appointments, and extracurricular activities.
• Maintain a safe, healthy environment and tend to the emotional well‑being of the children.

Required profile

• Efficient interpersonal skills, patience, honesty, and reliability.
• Flexibility, initiative, good judgement, and strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to handle up to 23 kg (50 lb) loads.
• Criminal record check required.
• Experience of 1 to less than 7 months in child care.
