Home Support Worker – Personal Care & Assistance

About the role

The Home Support Worker provides essential personal care and assistance to clients in their own homes. This role involves a blend of caregiving, household support, and companionship to promote client well‑being and independence.

Key responsibilities

• Administer bedside and personal care, including bathing, hygiene, and dressing.
• Provide medication administration and change non‑sterile dressings.
• Assist clients with mobility, exercise, and water activities such as pool access.
• Prepare, cook, and serve nutritious meals, plan therapeutic diets, and shop for food and household supplies.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and clothing repairs.
• Offer companionship, personal care, and support for infant care to new parents.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
• 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in home support or personal care.
• Ability to work in a non‑smoking home environment and pass a criminal record check.
• Reliability, punctuality, flexibility, and strong interpersonal skills.
