Group Home Worker

About the role

The Group Home Worker provides direct support to adults with intellectual, mental health, or physical disabilities living in a group home environment. You will help clients develop skills, access services, and participate in community activities while ensuring a safe and supportive living setting.

Key responsibilities

• Appraise clients' needs and eligibility for specific services.
• Assess clients' skill strengths and development needs.
• Supervise daily activities of clients living in group homes and halfway houses.
• Liaise with social service agencies and health‑care providers involved with clients.
• Assist clients with appointments, social outings, and special needs.

Required profile

• Efficient interpersonal skills and strong judgement.
• Commitment to values, ethics, and client‑focused care.
• Excellent written communication and initiative.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.

Required skills

• MS Office proficiency.
• Non‑violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification.
• First Aid and CPR certificates.
