Home Support Worker – Elderly Care

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate Home Support Worker to provide in‑home assistance to elderly clients in Vancouver. The role involves helping clients maintain independence and wellbeing through personal care, household support, and companionship.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients with regular exercise such as walking.
• Support feeding and nutrition, including planning therapeutic diets, preparing and serving balanced meals, and cooking.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks, laundry, and cleaning of clothing and linens.
• Provide personal care, companionship, and emotional support.
• Shop for food and household supplies as needed.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
• Ability to pass a criminal record check.
• Reliability, punctuality, patience, honesty and good judgement.
• Flexibility to work early‑morning or flexible day shifts.

Required skills

• Basic caregiving and personal support skills.
• Ability to follow dietary plans and prepare nutritious meals.
• Light housekeeping and laundry proficiency.
