Health Care Aide – Home Care Support

About the role

Join Shylo Home Health Care as a Health Care Aide providing compassionate, in‑home support to clients in North Vancouver. You will assist patients with daily activities, ensure their safety, and promote their well‑being while working in a variety of home care settings.

Key responsibilities

• Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities and supervise exercise routines.
• Perform personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene instruction.
• Take vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and assist with patient positioning, lifting, and transfers.
• Maintain patient rooms, make beds, and transport patients using wheelchairs or stretchers.
• Provide companionship, administer first aid in emergencies, and support overall patient comfort.

Required profile

• Client‑focused with strong dependability and reliability.
• Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Good judgement, initiative, and organized work habits.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• First Aid certification.
• Health Care Aide certification.
