Head of Supply Chain – Canada

About the role

We are looking for a Head of Supply Chain Canada to join our Agricultural Solutions team for our BASF Supply Chain organization in Canada. This position can be located at either the Regina, SK or Calgary, AB sites.

Key responsibilities

• Lead country‑level S&OP/S&OE processes, ensuring high‑quality planning, forecast alignment and operational follow‑up while executing supply chain and customer service processes in line with global standards.
• Manage and develop the country supply chain team, providing people leadership, capability building and local resource prioritisation.
• Provide input on supply chain excellence and transformation requirements to the Cluster SCBP and implement continuous‑improvement initiatives at country level.
• Monitor and manage supply chain performance metrics (inventory/working capital, service level, cost, delivery performance) and define corrective actions to minimise financial and operational risks.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of master data, transactional processes and compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements and tax rules.
• Deliver high‑quality customer service execution, including accurate order handling and issue resolution.
• Optimise and execute local logistics set‑up and product distribution to maintain high service levels and cost efficiency.
• Manage contract manufacturing activities and recall management processes at country level, adhering to governance, procedures and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Polytechnic University degree with 10+ years of supply chain experience, including leadership roles.
• Extensive senior‑level supply chain expertise with a domestic or sub‑regional scope.
• Major accountability and decision‑making responsibility, reporting to the VP, Head of Supply Chain.
• Demonstrated strategic impact and ability to influence across business units.
• Comfortable managing all direct and indirect FTE costs with accountability for sales enablement and net cash contribution outcomes.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
