Group Lead – Electrical Buildings (New Brunswick)

About the role

CBCL Limited is seeking a Group Lead for its Electrical Buildings practice in New Brunswick. The role can be based in Moncton, Saint John or Fredericton and involves leading a team of engineers and technologists to deliver high‑quality electrical design for a variety of building projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day leadership, coaching and mentorship to electrical engineers and technologists.
• Guide design, analysis and coordination of power distribution, lighting, life‑safety, communications, security and access‑control systems.
• Support business development by maintaining client relationships, identifying opportunities and contributing to proposals.
• Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects meet quality, budget and schedule targets.
• Lead site reviews, respond to RFIs, review shop drawings and resolve field issues.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Registration or eligibility for registration with a provincial engineering or technical association.
• Minimum 10 years of electrical building design experience, including technical leadership or mentoring.
• Strong knowledge of building, energy and electrical codes and standards.
• Experience in multidisciplinary project coordination and client‑focused delivery in a consulting environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Proficiency with Revit.
• Experience using Agi32 lighting analysis software.
• Experience using SKM Power Tools.
