Geotechnical & Materials Technician / Technologist (Seasonal)

About the role

We are seeking seasonal Geotechnical & Materials Technicians/Technologists to join our dynamic team in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. The role involves supporting engineers in field and laboratory testing, ensuring quality control, and interfacing with clients on test results.

Key responsibilities

• Perform QA/QC field testing and inspection of concrete, soil, and asphalt.
• Carry out field review of civil construction works.
• Conduct laboratory testing on soils, rock, concrete, and asphalt materials.
• Assist with geotechnical investigations, including sampling of soil and rock from boreholes and test pits.
• Interface with clients on laboratory and field test results.

Required profile

• A diploma in Civil Engineering Technology preferred.
• Recent Civil Engineering university graduates will be considered.
• No prior experience required; experience with QA/QC testing, building and heavy civil construction, or inspection services is an asset.
• Registration or eligibility for registration with TechNova or NBSCETT is an asset.
