General Practitioner (Family Medicine)

About the role

Mountain View Medical Centre is seeking a dedicated General Practitioner to join its urban clinic in Calgary. The role involves delivering comprehensive primary care to a diverse patient population, supporting health promotion and disease prevention.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and review medical information from patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Examine patients to diagnose illnesses and injuries, and develop treatment plans.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, X‑rays and other diagnostic procedures.
• Prescribe medications, administer vaccinations, and provide health counseling.
• Coordinate patient care with other practitioners and offer support to patients and families.

Required profile

• Degree in medicine (or dentistry, veterinary medicine, optometry).
• Licensure by provincial authorities and LMCC certification.
• College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP).
• 2–3 years of clinical experience in a primary‑care setting.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings and evenings.
