General Accountant – Finance Team

About the role

Maya HTT, a leading provider of digital industry software solutions, is looking for a detail‑oriented General Accountant to join its finance team in downtown Montreal. The role supports the full accounting cycle, from month‑end close to cash‑flow management, and contributes to the financial strength of a global operation.

Key responsibilities

• Execute full‑cycle month‑end close activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit‑card expenses and account reconciliations.
• Oversee weekly payment runs, bank portal payments and cash‑flow requirements.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, supporting schedules and sales‑tax filings.
• Record and reconcile inter‑company transactions and maintain accurate general‑ledger accounts.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Leverage AI and automation tools to improve accounting processes and reporting accuracy.
• Identify workflow improvements and support audit preparation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience with multi‑entity accounting structures.
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and French.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with an ERP system.
