About the role

Bell MTS is creating a talent pool for upcoming Field Service Technician and Line Cable Technician positions across Manitoba. This posting is intended for future opportunities, allowing candidates to be considered when new roles open.

Key responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of telecom equipment for residential and business customers.
• Climb poles, work from ladders, and operate in confined spaces such as manholes.
• Travel throughout the province using various modes of transportation, including vehicles, boats, and aircraft.
• Follow safety protocols and complete required security clearances.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; post‑secondary education in technology or engineering is an asset.
• Strong communication skills and a courteous customer‑facing attitude.
• Self‑starter able to work independently in remote locations for extended periods.
• Physically capable of heavy lifting, climbing, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Valid Manitoba driver’s licence and willingness to travel province‑wide.

Required skills

• Knowledge of test equipment and testing principles (training provided if needed).
• Pole‑climbing techniques (training provided if not already certified).
