About the role
We are seeking a Telephone Frame Wirer to join our team in Québec. The role focuses on installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining telephone wiring and related equipment.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment.
- Inspect trunking systems.
- Repair cable signals and faulty cables.
- Diagnose, locate, and repair telecommunications equipment faults.
- Install, arrange, remove, and maintain telephone equipment, wiring, and hardware.
- Analyze test results and adjust switching systems, networks, and software.
- Complete and maintain test and service reports.
- Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures.
- Connect, disconnect, and relocate cable outlets.
- Repair or replace power supplies and amplifiers.
Required profile
- Registered Apprenticeship certificate.
- 1 to less than 2 years of relevant experience in telephone or telecom wiring.
Required skills
- Cable signal inspection and testing.
- Telecommunications equipment repair.
- Telephone equipment installation and maintenance.
- Switching system analysis and adjustment.
