Future Technician Opportunities in Manitoba

About the role

Bell MTS is creating a talent pool for upcoming Field Service Technician and Line Cable Technician positions across Manitoba. Candidates will receive comprehensive training and ongoing support to become the face of the Bell MTS brand, delivering installation and repair services for residential and business customers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of telecom equipment in homes and businesses.
• Climb poles, work from ladders, and operate in confined spaces such as manholes.
• Travel throughout Manitoba using various modes of transportation, including vehicles, boats, and snowmobiles.
• Adhere to safety protocols and complete required security clearances.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; post‑secondary education in technology or engineering is an asset.
• Ability to work independently in remote locations for extended periods.
• Physically capable of heavy lifting, climbing, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Valid Manitoba driver’s licence and willingness to work shifts, weekends, and statutory holidays.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of test equipment and testing principles (training will be provided).
• Willingness to complete pole‑climbing training and obtain certification.
