Full‑time Marketing Faculty (Tenure‑track or Professor of Practice)

About the role

The Calvin University School of Business seeks a full‑time faculty member in marketing to begin on July 1 2027. The appointment can be on a tenure‑track track or as a professor of practice, and the successful candidate will integrate a vibrant Christian faith with marketing scholarship and teaching.

Key responsibilities

• Teach approximately 24 semester hours per academic year at the undergraduate and/or master’s level.
• For tenure‑track faculty, maintain an active research agenda and publish in relevant marketing journals.
• For professors of practice, sustain a professional practice, engage industry partners, and guide experiential learning.
• Advise and mentor students, incorporating Christian perspective, ethics, and DEI considerations into coursework.
• Serve on departmental, university, and community committees and participate in professional associations such as AMA, CCCU, and CBFA.

Required profile

• Tenure‑track: PhD or other terminal degree in marketing or related field (ABD candidates considered); demonstrated teaching excellence.
• Professor of practice: Master’s degree or higher plus at least five years of distinguished professional experience; ability to teach and maintain active practice.
• Commitment to Calvin University’s Christian liberal‑arts mission, interdisciplinary interests, and student engagement beyond the classroom.
