Event and Sponsorship Research Coordinator

About the role

The Event and Sponsorship Research Coordinator will evaluate event and sponsorship opportunities across Canada, applying a consistent framework to recommend where the organization should invest its time and marketing budget.

Key responsibilities

• Discover and research relevant events, community initiatives and sponsorship opportunities across Canada.
• Evaluate opportunities using CHN's criteria and scoring framework, considering audience fit, cost, impact and alignment with values.
• Communicate with event organizers to verify details and pricing.
• Maintain a national event and sponsorship calendar, pipeline and decision deadlines.
• Track decisions, costs, outcomes and impact metrics to improve future investment decisions.
• Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, event organizers and non‑profit partners.

Required profile

• Excellent interpersonal and relationship‑building skills.
• Strong research and analytical abilities, with experience gathering information from multiple sources.
• Effective written and verbal communication, including coordination and follow‑up.
• Ability to manage multiple opportunities, deadlines and priorities simultaneously.
• Sound judgement, curiosity and problem‑solving skills.
• Fluency in English and French is mandatory.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of office and communication tools and ability to learn CHN systems.
• Understanding of marketing, sponsorship, community engagement and partnership development (asset).
