About the role
We are looking for a motivated Cook to join our kitchen team at Tea Pot China Bistro in Calgary. This full‑time, onsite role involves preparing a variety of dishes while supporting special events and catering needs.
Key responsibilities
- Plan menus, estimate food requirements and portion sizes for events and daily service.
- Prepare and cook complete meals, individual dishes, and special meals for customers with allergies or dietary restrictions.
- Order and manage inventory of food, supplies and kitchen equipment.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff and helpers, ensuring safe food handling and cleanliness.
- Organise buffets, banquets and other special events, coordinating with service staff.
- Maintain records of inventory, supplies and equipment, and ensure kitchen areas are clean and inspected.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of kitchen experience.
- Participation in a youth employment program with on‑the‑job training and mentorship.
