Full-Time Probationary Grade 1/2 Teacher

About the role

We are looking for an energetic, probationary teacher to lead a combined Grade 1/2 classroom for the 2026/2027 school year. The role is full‑time and situated within an arts‑centered learning environment that values inclusivity, creativity, and collaborative practice.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver cross‑curricular instruction that integrates fine arts with literacy and numeracy.
• Manage a calm, safe classroom using restorative practices and effective classroom management techniques.
• Assess student progress through outcome‑based assessments and adapt instruction to diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s whole‑school arts approach and inclusive community vision.
• Reflect on teaching practice and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of early childhood learning development.
• Positive, enthusiastic, reflective, and collaborative mindset.
• Commitment to inclusive education and arts integration.
• Interest or background in fine arts is an asset.
