Full-Time Educational Assistant for Grades 7‑12

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Full‑Time Educational Assistant to join J.T. Foster High School, a K‑12 school in Nanton, Alberta. The assistant will support students in grades 7‑12 throughout the 2026‑2027 academic year, helping create a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑on‑one and small‑group support to students across diverse learning needs.
• Assist teachers in delivering classroom instruction and managing classroom dynamics.
• Support students with social‑emotional learning activities and mental‑health needs.
• Collaborate with the school team to develop and implement individualized support plans.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions.

Required profile

• Strong rapport‑building skills with students and a caring attitude.
• Experience working in classroom settings, small groups, and one‑on‑one contexts.
• Understanding of diverse learning needs such as ADHD, autism, and learning disabilities.
• Ability to support students facing mental‑health challenges.
• First Aid and SIVA training are considered assets.

Required skills
